Hi! I’m Jenn.
I’m the “mom” behind Senior Pet Mom and a lifelong animal lover.
My journey with pets began when I was just six years old, and since then, I’ve had the privilege of caring for a variety of wonderful companions—dogs, cats, rabbits, fish, you name it! Growing up, I shared my life with Oscar, a half-black lab, half shepherd, and Kona, a sweet boxer mix, during my twenties. Later, as I set out on my own, I welcomed three amazing cats into my life: Kitty, Lightning, and Cole. They grew older with me, and now, though they’ve crossed the rainbow bridge, they remain my angels.
Today, my furry family consists of Reagan, my 2-year-old beagle mix, but my heart holds a special place for senior pets. Having lovingly cared for five pets through their golden years, I’m passionate about ensuring that older pets receive the proper care they deserve. I started Senior Pet Mom to share my experiences and inspire others to embrace the joys and responsibilities of adopting and caring for senior pets.
In addition to my love for animals, I’m a writer, editor, and former teacher of reading and writing. I also share my life with my amazing family—my fiancé Rob, our 12-year-old daughter, and our 3-year-old son.
